This Christmas season the property owners around the town will be making a special effort to decorate and provide dazzling displays, to cheer us all up.
Each Day in December on the lead up to Christmas we'll open up a new advent window to show the amazing decorations for a property or properties for that day.

Whitby’s Dazzling Christmas 2020
This year, like never before, we will need go the extra mile to provide a lovely welcoming environment around town over the winter season.
The second wave of the Coronavirus epidemic, curfews, lockdowns, partial lockdowns, the cancelation of most events, autumn and winter weather and the dark nights are all conspiring to dampen our collective spirits.
We need something bright to cheer us up and maybe even bring some much-needed tourist traffic to the town.
So, lets now all pull together to deck the halls, dig out the lights, put up the trees, spray the trimmings and go mad with the baubles and make Whitby dazzle like never before!
Join Whitby’s Dazzling Christmas 2020 now, get involved to go above and beyond your usual level of Christmas decoration in your business and the collective effect will provide something for us to shout about as a town on the lead up to Christmas.
If we all get involved, we can make this something to remember. You could even win a fantastic prize!

A: Its an initiative to help create something attractive for locals to enjoy and for Whitby lovers to see online so that we can all cheer ourselves up a bit during these terrible times.
Q: But my business will be closed so I can’t take part, can I?.
A: You can take part. You don’t have to be open, just have something Christmassy that can be seen from the outside. Anything will do, but the more the better.
Q: I usually decorate for Christmas anyway, so I don’t need to join in do I?.
A: Yes, you do. Join in, even if you’re going to do only what you normally do. By just doing a bit more than you normally do and by standing together on things like this, we will all benefit. The more the merrier!
